Why doesn’t England have the 4th of July (no negative replies) ?

  • Despite all the fuss we Britishers still own the USA outright and use it as a 'political theory test environment'.

    Independence was just a little arrangement between us and Mr Washington. (A few quid may have greased his palm.)

    We allow them to subscribe to our language, legal framework and other British inventions.We arrange the appropriate President at the appropriate time & construct elections to fool all the people,all of the time.The American flag is just a linear/astral impression of ours.Stars and Stripes forever, but Red White and Blue in perpetuity.It's like we never left.It's no wonder that we Britishers are in control.

    Of course they have the 4th of July---it comes right before the fifth of July.  They use the same calendar..

    England didn't gain independence - They lost the Revolutionary War.

    Canada has their version called Canada Day, but those whacky Canadians celebrate it on July 1st, not July 4th like it should be.
