Humans are conditioned to like cuddly things. Koalas being so dumb, slows and subsisting on a diet of eucalyptus leaves, that are poison to other animals when eaten, makes them accessible to be put in zoos and mistaken for tree Australian teddy bears, who are too darn cute to resist. How they got Chlamydia, IDK. I'm looking at you Aussies. What did you do to those poor koalas?!
