Handel's "Messiah" has some good bass/baritone arias.

Considering range, which is what young basses like to brag about - There are many traditional spirituals that flatter the Basses  - Ezekiel Saw the Wheel has that low Eb. Heck, lots of Motown had low vocal bad parts!   Tons of Russian literature - usually far too low for students. My adult son is a choral conductor and professional basso - he gets calls for Russian things in which there is a 3 ledger line Ab. There was You tube challenge last year that he scorned - because they were using an edition that was transposed up a half step from the original!  Way to cheat - no thanks!  So if you are HS our even college choral singer, you will often see things down to a G or F.  As you proceed into more diverse genres - expect to add a fourth or fifth below that.  Big Russian works?  Two ledger line C - or lower.
