Why is the us government not treating covid like a tire fire ?

It just seems like it would be easier to quarantine the sick cancer patients  Immuno compromised and those with prior health conditions keep them safe at home  Then just let this virus burn itself out like a tire fire eventually it will fizzle out. Why does the government just not let it burn open everything up and go back to regular life then on and off closures

Because there would be too many deaths.

Several times across several months trump has been insisting the virus will disappear. We just had the most cases in one day. The model of what to do is proven in many European and Asian countries who have it contained. The crisis has called for a comprehensive federal policy that unites us all along. We're only strong as the weak links.

they are *** backwards on dealing with this. the weak are isolated and the strong get it and become immune. It's that easy but instead we are having the strong isolate and weak run around.
