Stop Printing?  You mean, like you've sent a large document to the printer and need to cancel it?  First, Look on the printer for a big button with the X (Most HP Printer's have them.)  If you have one, press that once to cancel the print job.  Then, cancel the document in the Print Queue.  Then, turn off the printer. Leave the printer off until the document is gone from the Print Queue.

Turn on the printer, do whatever steps you need to do to clear the paper path.  (Paper half through the printer may be ejected partially printed, but other times, it may need to be manually forced through. Check troubleshooting in the manual for any further issues.)
