Is it safe for a child to ride a dumbwaiter?

    No. A dumb waiter is a dumb place for adults to allow children to play. There is a huge risk of amputation of fingers, hands, arms, toes  feet and legs...nevermind decapitation of the head. 

    Body parts are not meant to be served on dumb waiter platters. 

    Take children to the park to play on equipment designed for children's playtime.

    First a Childs arms, legs or even their head might be caught as the device is moving. The other concern is the possibility that the dumbwaiter might fail and leave them stuck where they can not be reached.

    No, because there are no safety inspections or installation standards for them.
