Why do Christians believe children are a gift from God when all low life forms reproduce ?
It isn't any great accomplishment.

It could be, when the Bible was written. You've got to look at it through the eyes of a bronze-age society.
Large populations directly translated into power in the ancient world. If you're few in number you can't defend yourself or raid your neighbours. You need a large volume of people to develop the specialised trades and crafts needed to maintain your cities and towns, to educate the scholars that will administer your society. Train the soldiers that will defend you, and of course indoctrinate the priests that will spread your beliefs.
Building a large population was exceedingly difficult, with the collapse and failure of ancient cultures being common.
This is a time when infant mortality rates were obscene for most civilisations. An expectancy that 1 in every 4 children would die before they reached 5 years old in some cases. Also women dying in childbirth was distressingly common. Disease epidemics would swoop in every generation, famines would routinely strike when harvests failed or wars came to your land.
Being "fruitful" was a primary challenge, and one you'd want your Gods to bless.
The largest city of the classical world was Rome which topped out at around a million inhabitants, and it only managed that by feeding on the resources of a whole continent's worth of people.
People are only commonplace now because of the massive changes wrought by the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution. You get more than a million people living in the suburbs of entirely unremarkable provincial cities nowadays.
Unfortunately religions are still trapped in their bronze-age mindset and haven't realised that the last thing we need is to encourage the population to keep on expanding.

As you say, low life forms don't produce or bring up children.
To become a Christian must be the way to go for you.

Because at least in biblical times, bloodlines and genealogical heritage were everything.
Also children helped families do chores and helped their elderly parents in their senior years and dying days.
Psalm 127:3-5 — Children are a gift from the LORD;
they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man
are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them!
He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates.
Dont breed em if you cant feed em.

Many people are grateful to have children to love.
If you don't feel that way, please stay away from children for their sake and yours.

It is an accomplishment to fall in love, make a commitment to each other, and sustain a family life through respect and admiration.
