Why aren't the protesters policing their own protests? If they were detaining the violent elements the police wouldn't have to intervene?
After all, the only reason police are firing teargas at them is because the violent protestors are hiding among the peaceful protestors and the peaceful protestors are refusing to cooperate with the police in detaining the violent protestors.

Cause they would have to admit that the "protestors" were rioters and that goes against their narrative

Police brutality is what started these protests and police brutality is turning them violent. Maybe the police should police their own violent thug cops.
