    No, not as such.

    Kurdish people are an ethnic group native to a mountainous ... Nearly all Kurdistan was part of Persian Empire until its Western part was lost during wars against the Ottoman Empire.

    That would be like calling Basque French or Spanish

    Kurds live on a region that is now Northern Iraq, or southern Turkey depending on your political view point.  If they had their druthers , they'd like their own break off country from BOTH..........but neither country seems willing to give up oil rich land.......which is what most of the fighting is about.

    Kurds are Kurds. They live in northern Iraq.

    Persians are no longer called Persians, becuz Persia is no longer. It’s now Iran. So Persians nowadays are called Iranians.
