Why didn't MLB crown the Montreal Expos as 1994 baseball champions at least?! The nationals franschise would have 2 titles isntead of just 1?

Can't. You have to earn it on the field. I am by no means a Cubs fan but in 2016 they finally earned it on the field after 108 years of frustration. I think New York would have beat Montreal in 1994 had the season not been cancelled.

It's hard for someone to become World Series champion when the series isn't held. Five other clubs could have also claimed that title so MLB, for once, did the right thing.

There was no World Series that year so the Expos didn't win it, for that reason they weren't the champions.  Having the best record before the season was canceled doesn't mean they'd have won the World Series.

Even though they had the best record when the strike occurred, the deason was not completed and there was no post-season that year.

There was a strike that ended the season that would carry over into the season, plus well not really a good idea giving a team something that they didn't even deserve or even earn.

Favoring a team does not mean the team will win. The strike concluded the season.
