Did the British people feel miserable when someone from a different country invaded Britain since they colonized the USA?

  • We haven't been invaded since 1066 and there hasn't been a land battle fought there since 1745.  We're all good but thanks for asking.

It hasn't happened since 1066.  Many have tried, and all have failed!  WWII was the last time anyone seriously tried, and, things were tense, but, if anything, the Brits thrived under the pressure, and certainly gave better than they got.

In 1688 Britain was last invaded successfully, England was okay with it, Wales did not notice, Scotland and Ireland miserable. Britain did not colonise the USA (something to do with chronology).

Ah yes, "The Glorious Revolution" - neither glorious nor a revolution. A Dutch invasion, a Dutchman on the throne and the introduction of ethnic cleansing to the Highlands.

The last time Britain was invaded was 1066. It was so long ago that most Brits have forgotten all about it and certainly don't feel miserable.
