why is my paper coming out all black when printing a document? It is a Canon3600 printer>?

    try your printer with the builtin operating system test page.  if still all black, the printer is dead.  if normal, the problem is in the program you are trying to print from and i suggest deinstalling it and then reinstalling

    If it's smudgy, then take out the black ink cartridge and carefully put it back in, avoiding touching the copper metal strip on the cartridge.  If your color ink cartridge isn't working, do the same, and re-insert it, making sure the clear plastic tape over the copper has been removed first.

    Maybe it depends on the type of printer. Not sure though.
