Pay for delete letter?

I have some credit cards and reposession in my credit report.

I wanna settle and request a pay for delete.

What is the best way to do that?

    You negotiate with the cards. IF they agree, invite a letter agreeing to delete any mention of it from your credit report.

    Pay for delete is a thing of the past.  Debt collectors and "credit repair" places may attempt to mislead you, if not outright lie to you, that pay for delete does exist, but this is just an attempt to convince you to give them money.  They do not care about your credit at all.

    Collectors & Attorneys letters are meaningless.  The creditor only.

    It does not happen in the USA any more.

    Only incorrect information can be deleted, and if it happens too often, the credit agencies no longer accept the business reporting the information.

    The credit agencies will update records to state it was settled.

    Bottom line, the debt status can change.
