Why is growing up so god-dam difficult?

Los Angeles is just such an expensive place

to live; there really is no happiness anywhere

to be found (at least for me). It really sucks no

one is there to hold my hand as you grow older.

I'm just waiting for Universal Basic Income

to be passed, so I can retire and get the he--

out of Los Angeles, to be honest.

Your thoughts?

If there's ever a UBI it's not going to come close to covering rent/mortgage in L.A. Even Andrew Wang was only willing to give 1K a month...i.e less than half the typical month's rent in L.A. Don't wait for that or to retire before you leave the city. Many many are presently getting out of here.

Never been there so I've no idea. I imagine it's like most places - pretty good if you're rich, a craphole if you're not.
