Do people really think living alone is lonely?

My co-workers ask me how I can stand living along and not get lonely. Do people really think living alone is lonely? I was living with my parents until I was 30 and was so happy the day I moved out. Don't get me wrong, I love my parents but for 30 years, I NEVER had my own space. I can never get quiet time and can never watch TV in peace. I finally have that now that I've been living on my own and I've lived alone for over 5 years. I love it. And besides, I work 50 hours a week, so I'm at work all the time, so I really don't spend much time alone as I would like. But there's nothing better than coming home and resting in peace after a hard days work.

How do people living alone is lonely? I love it!
