Why are police allowed to treat black people differently than white people? ?

It has been my experience in the 70+ years I have lived that economic status plays a big part in how people are also treated. The poor (no matter the race) are treated much differently than people (no matter the race) with money.

1) Because to them, black lives don't matter.
2) Because to them, all people are guilty til they are proved innocent.
