# If p is increased by 20 percent  and k is decreased by 20 percent  the resulting  numbers will have the ratio P to K equal to A 3/2 B 2/3 C1?

p'=p(1+20%)=1.2p

k'=k(1-20%)=0.8k

after the changes.

p'/k'=1.2p/0.8k=3p/2k.

If p=k, then p'/k'=3/2.

When P is increased by 20% we have:

1.2P

When K is decreased by 20% we have:

0.8K

so, 1.2P : 0.8K

=> 12P : 8K

i.e. 3P : 2K

so, (3/2)P = K...i.e. P to K

Then, (2/3)K = P...i.e. K to P

If P is increased by 20% .. that's 120%

If K is decreased by 20% .. that's 80 %

So the 'ratio' of P to K will be 120/80 ... which is 3/2

and 2/3 would be the ratio of K to P.
