40% battery drain on a 2 hour video call?
I know it varies from one phone to another, battery capacity, screen size, wifi signal and all that, but on a recent 2 hour video call on viber, i got 40-41% battery drain.
Does that seem like good battery consumption, average, poor? It's a new phone, samsung s10 with the older firmware, not yet updated and it has a 3300mah battery.

Probably about right, video calls will have the screen on all the time which is the single largest power drain, particularly if theres bright colours, dark and black uses less power on amoleds that Samsung use.
It will also keep the phone using full internet and depending on app use a fair bit of processor too.

Sounds about right. You are using the full brightness and high resolution of the screen. Also using Wi-Fi or cellular data, add to this sound being on at the very least half way on best quality.
And that is if you are standing still. If you are moving around forcing the camera to continuously refocus of your face or the faces of a group, that is going to drain the battery as well. So anything the phone is doing other than just sending one SMS that keeps the screen on, will help drain the battery.
Use a stand or selfie stick and plug that phone into power if worried.

Depends if your doing other stuff while on phone call and how far brightness is turned on and if screen is lit up whole time on it. Cause those will drain it alot even if new. If turn off screen or lower it real low while on call it should be a lot less battery use
