    Ax + By = C => equation of the line in standard/general form

    4x + 5y = -40 => set y to zero to find the x-intercept:

    4x = -40

    x = -10 => x-intercept

    3x - 4y = -8

    Slope = -A/B = -(-3/4) = 3/4

    y = mx + b => x-intercept = -10 is at y = 0, slope is 3/4, solve for b:

    0 = (3/4)(-10) + b

    b = 30/4 = 15/2

    y = (3/4)x + 15/2 => answer: in slope intercept form

    3x - 4y = -30 => answer in standard form
