My new laptop AC adapter emits a faint buzzing sound while charging my laptop. Is this okay?

I recently bought an original (hopefully) AC adapter for my ASUS laptop online. While testing it, I hear a faint buzzing, static-like noise from the adapter only when I put it close to my ear. I don't hear it when it's a couple of feet away. I haven't really paid attention if the same happened to my old adapter, and I don't know how exactly my old adapter failed.

There can be a faint buzzing, it’s nothing to worry about. It normally comes from the coils or transformer
