External graphic equalizer hook up.?
How can I hook up an external equalizer to a new home theater receiver? My old school Kenwood has a tape 2 monitor input and new receiver's don't.

If there is no tape loop, forget it.
Equalizers aren't bad to have or to use,
but unless your room has terrible acoustics there should be no need.
I own an equalizer, but I have used it Only to deal with audio problems
when copying recordings made by others.

Even if your receiver has "pre amp" outputs it still is a tricky hookup for other reasons. My first advice would be don't bother. Graphic equalizers work best when you have a separate preamp and amp.

Some receivers have a pre out. This is for you to send signal to an external amp. Nothing says you can't send it to your graphic equalizer. Then send that into one of the audio ports.
Mind you, I don't think this will help much for surround sound.
