Can I use the name Jonathan Hunter for my spy novel despite that being the characters name in goldeneye rogue agent he’s not the same at all?

    Why not? I'm going to use the name Harry Potter for my young wizard but he's blond and has a scar on his foot, not his head, and lives with his father's sister, not his mother's, so obviously he's "not the same at all" as the first Harry Potter.

    Yes, you can, but if you're worried about people confusing him with the Golden Eye character, then why not simply change it?
