Each European nation sits in a different part of the political compass and maintains its own Overton window.

Even if you want to simplify things by just looking at the trends in the EU, sure you can identify some common neoliberal themes going on, but take one look at its parliament and you'll see neo-nazis sat at one end, communists sat at the other with everything inbetween .

You get nations in Europe that are highly tolerant societies that try their best to encompass people of all colours and creeds. Meanwhile there are other nations in Europe where it's almost acceptable to chat about how disgusting Africans look and suggesting that gypsies should all be gassed. America tends towards being more like the former than the latter.

I worked with a Czech and a pair of Slovakians for a while. Blimey that was an education in cultural differences!

A person can battle attacks against true freedom of speech using voting, political activism, the rosary and fasting.

    It's like asking

"Is this orange more round than that tree full of oranges?"

The responsibility of Democratic governments is to give all people a voice.  The American system of government is one of the LEAST democratic of all Democratic Republics.  Yes, the USA is a Democratic Republic, we elect our leaders who make the laws.  But Congressional districts ensure that almost always members of just the two top parties will win any election.  This leaves all the other views unrepresented in Congress, but it likewise ensures that one party or the other will have a majority and thus be able to pass laws.

Most Democratic Republics in Europe to not have Congressional districts.  People do not vote for a particular candidate but rather for the platform of the political party.  Each party submits a list of candidates who will take the seats if the party won all of the seats available.  If a party win 40% of the vote, they take 40% of the seats.  If 10 different parties each win 1% of the vote, each will take 1% of the available seats.  The end result is that the views of almost every citizen will have a representative in Congress.  But the government is less efficient as to get laws passed deals must be made between different political parties.  The same thing happens in our government, but not as much as it happens in Europe.

Europe is the ultimate of pansy PC limp wristed culture.  Europe will soon cease to exist.  They will demographically be eliminated and replaced by moslems.  And the Europeans are paying to have it happen, and they will call you a "racist" if you don't applaud it.  That's how cucked Europe is.
