Great songs from the 60s and 70s for a Memorial Day weekend playlist?

What are some great songs you'd suggest from those decades for a Memorial Day playlist? Disco or groovy songs suggested but any genre from 1960-1980 would work.

Most of us that were 17+ back then were terrified by the Vietnam war, and many died there. THAT's what Memorial day is all about, to honor those who made it even possible to like music like "disco". Just sayin'...

It will take pages and pages to come up with enough music for an entire weekend. You can google albums like Beatles 1967-70 and Beatles 1962-66 as starting points, and there are a lot of good songs in those 2 compilation albums.
