Can you always reduce your hours if you can pick your schedule?

I applied for a job where you pick how many hours you want to work, I just realized I don't want to work 35 hours but only 30 hours.

If they accept my application, can I them I would like to work 30 hours instead? Would this be bad if I already put in my application a certain number, or is this fine?

Update:

The job asks me what hours I want to want. It's a pick your schedule type of job.

But I realized when I picked the schedule it wasn't the hours I wanted.

Update 2:

Ah I see. Thank you for your answer, Anonymous.

32 hours is the minimum for a Full Time Job.

    No benefits for less.

BTW: YOU can only ask for hours, the employer will tell You when to work or not.

If they hired you to work 35 hours, but you tell them you only want to work 30, they'll replace you with someone who is willing and able to work the hours they want.

You will work the hours and times they want you to work.  If you make it difficult on them they will find someone else.
