Malibu 15 Trembling?
Hello, had an issue driving home. My malibu would begin to shake as I was driving down the free way. When stopped at a red light it would take a little bit for the car to get moving. At the same time I had the stabili track warning on my dash. I've read online it's most likely a spark plug issue. When I got home i turned the car off and back on and the warning was gone. I drove awhile around the neighborhood with no issues. Any ideas if this is a spark plug issue? Why would everything seem normal now?

The most common reason for your issue is an intermittent bad wheel speed sensor. Find a scan tool that reads ABS codes to find out if a code was set. If no code yet you then need to drive while monitoring the 4 wheel speed sensor readings to see which one is reading different then the other 3.

Have the OBD2 trouble codes extracted, write them all down verbatim, then come back here with the codes. The we might be able to help you.

Spark plug issue? It could be one of many things.

Actually, StabiliTrak™ is a computerized braking susbsytem, a more sophisticated version of four-wheel ABS that can apply as well as release individual brakes. Unfortunately, StabiliTrak has double the connections of four-wheel ABS for the electrohydraulics and sensors, and Mr. Goodwrench® has a history of problems tracking down intermittent failures with the system. From the symptoms ye describe, there is a problem hindering brake release, but ye'll need an ABS brake specialist to track down the exact cause.

Car was misfiring. How many miles on the car? If over 100k and the plugs have not been changed, time to see a mechanic. And get the mechanic to check for any trouble codes on the vehicle including pending codes. Could be a coil that is about to fail completely or a bad crank or cam sensor.
