Does my body store vitamin D like it does vitamin A or is it like vitamin C in that I have to replenish it every day?

Vitamins A, E, D, and K are fat soluble, so they can accumulate in your body if you're taking in more than you're using.  As oppose to vitamin C that is water soluble and is expelled quickly.

Yes it does. It can also make your skin turn yellow. And it doesn't mean jaundice. Just a reaction to the supplements perhaps you already have sufficient amounts inside the food you eat everyday. My skin is already so light and I turn yellow from eating eggs. But it goes away.

You can absorb (or replenish) plenty of vitamin D just by spending time outside in the sunshine.

Not really.  That is why Vitamin D is added to milk and other things.
