So did the Mayans but some presented it too as the Armageddon.

The fact of the matter: Yes; It is only coming for only the true believers of God, God chosen because the new heaven and the new earth will be without sin.

Revelation 21:1  I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth was gone: and the sea is now no more. Rev 21:2  And I, John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Rev 21:3  And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men: and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people: and God himself with them shall be their God.

Rev 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more. Nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.

During the rapture, angels say....."oh....there goes the neighborhood." They wonder if angel Trump could build a wall (and make them some mammon to use at the Trump Heaven Casino). All that is necessary, to get eternal life, is belief in Jesus. This doesn't mean eternal life in heaven (maybe burn in the brimstone flames in hell for all eternity?). The angels will look at the new souls coming, who are murderers, child raping priests, arsonists (easier to start fires in hell), and they'll think that heaven is more like hell. They'll try to compartmentalize the murderous angels in bad sections of heaven (other side of the tracks). Their new address will be tirty tird and a tird avenue, Heaven, Cosmos. That's Brooklyn for 33 1/3 avenue. Notice that doubled it is the Mark of the Beast 666 (same as the National Deficit of the United States in the year 2017, which was $666 billion...amount of debt added to the National Debt that year). You will know Satan by that number. Smoke filled back rooms of heaven, filled with cigar smokin' gun totin' angels. . . .yep, you know you came to the right afterlife. That's the place that all those Religious Right/National Rifle Association people were going to go. You see the Ku Klux Klan members in your heaven (how did they get there after burning Blacks at the stake?), maybe it is because they wear a cross and support Christianity. You look over at the KKK, and notice a foot. It is a large foot, a foot of a giant a thousand feet high. You look up at the black foot, follow the giant's robes up to the face, and way up there is a Negro God. The KKK member exclaims "Lord" "I think I made some kind of mistake." The Lord exclaims, "no mistake." The foot moves....squish. The KKK angel will have to remain in heaven a bit shorter than he was.

Yes it is for all those who are saved through Jesus Christ.  We are living in the end times and prophecy is being fulfilled every day.  This world is passing away and Jesus is coming soon to make everything right.

    Yes...

According to the Bible prophecies, we are nearing the end of the world, not in a global warming but “total meltdown” as foretold by Peter, the first pope.

2Pet 3:12 - That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat… (A total meltdown of the universe)

People will enjoy watching on TV the kind of burnt sacrifices the old Jewish God is receiving to cool off his fierce anger that often flares up in the middle of a conversation. Killing people and animals for religious reasons has been going on for centuries in almost every culture. In Salem, Massachusetts, Colonial America, the clergy were routinely hanging witches from tree branches with a rope tied around their neck. Witches were about the first felons regularly executed in Christian America as soon as the clergy suspected that some people in town were involved in witchcraft. Abortions were not an issue yet. The small city of Salem was never a megacity, yet some Americans were found guilty of witchcraft and executed. Most of the early Americans were Christians who escaped religious wars and persecutions in Europe for whatever reason, mostly for sticking to different dogmas. Up to recent history, science-oriented people were risking their lives working on projects that would contradict Bible stories or church dogmas. Judging by the number of contributions to the advancement of science for the general well-being of humankind, the Muslims are about the most respectful of their religion; they hardly earned a Nobel Prize. The Muslims countries register very few patents. Since the days of al-Ghazali in the 11th century, science among the Muslims took a nosedive from which they never fully recovered. The Muslim clergy went on to declare that any science that is not coming from the Quran is of the Devil. King Solomon was right saying: “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it,” it works just as well with the Muslims or any other religion or culture in the world. Science is the enemy number one of religion. The Muslims ruled under sharia law cannot possibly concentrate on a science project without having to constantly interrupt their train of thought several times daily to worship Allah; it comes as an absolute priority in their life. Judeo-Christianity bases their faith on the idea of a mystic God of an ultra-narcissistic nature craving for worship all the time too. He created this humongous universe that unfortunately turned out to be full of flaws because it does not work the way he wished it did; he is also fed up repenting all the time. From the beginning of creation, God was very pessimistic about the result of his first creative attempt, so he confided to Peter, the first pope, to have “foreordained” the fate of his only begotten Son Jesus Christ, the King of the Jews, to be nailed to the Holy Roman Cross with his face full of Roman soldiers’ sputum, so God may forgive himself for all his fails. He anticipated a lot of problems with his mud creatures. It seems that his idea is not working as expected because in the last 2,000 years the clergy continued developing countless brands of faith out of Judeo-Christianity. God is embarrassed reporting the results of his first creative attempt to “The Great Assembly of The Gods,” not much different from the United Nations General Assembly.

Psa 82:1 - God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the gods...

Does it matter? It is not worth the paper it is written on.

We cannot sit back and let the religious devise a "better" world, because it will only be a better world for the minority.
