A mirror may not be legally required but for one's own safety you should have one. You also want some type of speedometer because most places have speed restrictions on e bikes. I'd even go as far as suggesting carrying a spare battery.Source(s): Motorized Bicycle Owner and Builder.

I never ride outside easy walking range w/o a flat-fixing kit. Tube, tire levers and a pump.
And you’ll need a (floor) pump at home. Preferably one with a pressure gauge. Expect to need to top up weekly.

If you ever ride at night or predawn conditions, a taillight is a MUST! Reflectors DON'T work. Here's why... https://www.sheldonbrown.com/reflectors.html
The best mirror I've found attaches to your helmet. Doesn't shake or come loose either. 5 Year No-Fault Warranty! https://www.efficientvelo.com/home/safezone/1urwnl...
Naturally...a water bottle cage & bottle. Always stay hydrated. Last...if you think you'll want to try a cycling jersey, this'll get you SEEN. https://www.voler.com/browse/product/li/1T101GK

A GPS (stolen) bike tracker and a good lock.
