    The circumference =2*pi*R=106.8 Km.

    135 deg= 3/8 of the circ.=41Km

    225 deg=5/8 C=106.8-40.6=66Km.

    34  pi (3/8) = 51/4 pi = 40.05530633327 km

    (135 deg/360 deg) * pi * 2 * 17 km

    the circumference is πd = 2π17 = 34π

    the arc is 135/360 of that or

    (135/360)34π = 40 km
