    • Two psycho sexually driven masterpieces with complex melodies all hidden behind a triumphant wall of fuzz. I feel at home somehow.

I noticed that Britney Spears' "Oops I Did It Again" sounds like "Woman In Love" by Barbra Steisand.

Well, it's a little hard to say "entirely different" considering they are within the same subgenre, but both "*** on feel the noize" and "Metal Health" by Quiet Riot very much give off the same energy and vibes as "We're not gonna take it" and "I wanna rock" by Twisted Sister, and I found the two completely separately of one another. It was actually discovering Quiet Riot for the first time that got me back into Twisted Sister.

    Aloha Livin’!

“Taurus” by Spirit and “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin.  LOL.

How 'bout "Werewolves Of London" by Warren Zevon - the chord structure (and, for that matter, the key of D major) are too similar for comfort to Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama."

  • Pulp - 'Bad Cover Version

    Elvis Costello - 'Blue Chair'

I love both songs and artist but the Pulp one always reminds me of the Elvis song.

    Scorpions "Always Somewhere"

    Lynyrd Skynyrd "Simple Man"

"Simple Man" sounds pretentious in comparison to "Always Somewhere"

Greta Van F, New Day sounds very Zepp, but it is quite great I'd say.

Kickstart My Heart by Motley and Hellraiser by the Sweet. Lifted riff basically, but changed a bit.

    • Absolutely in the first and another good observation in the second one. Cheers Rock N' Roll Junkie.

There is the famous story of the Damned-Killing Joke-Nirvana matryoshka triptych: "Life goes on" - "Eighties" - "Come as you Are" ..

and then Megadeth's "Simphony of Destruction" vs "Ritual" by Ghost BC

The Jesus Lizard - "Then Comes Dudley" vs Converge - "Trigger"

    • You have a great ear Z'man. Regarding these, I do enjoy hearing similarities in songs. If there ever were a direct comparison i would always lean on the side of one respecting the other and all together celebrating the creativity. Cheers for a great answer.
