Is it normal for a family member‘s ex to hate the family she divorced?

My uncles ex-wife hates us and hated my mom even while she was still married. She’s got her daughter hating us also. The two sons are more mature and like us.

I wouldn't give it any concern. Generally, people who are haters end up being the victims of their own hatred. Don't let it bother you and realize she's got a problem, not you.

Families have strange dynamics sometimes. And if your uncle's ex wife and your mother didn't get along, it's not your problem and their issues had nothing to do with YOU or with the rest of your family. Their problems were between them, not you and them.

Sometimes kids follow their parents' ignorant behavior, so that might be the reason for her daughter's attitude. You can always pity her for her stupidity. And then go on with your life. this stuff isn't worth losing sleep over.

    Yes, this is normal.

But it is toxic behavior and someone behaving that way is often the source of the problem.

    Is it “normal”?  No.

    Unfortunately it’s pretty common, though.
