Is Atlantic City the same as Las Vegas?

Are they exactly the same?

Atlantic City is Las Vegas's poor, half-wit distant cousin...

Hell no.  Atlantic city is more like Las Vegas's retarded little cousin who never bathes.

No. Atlantic City is in the toxic waste dump known as New Jersey. Las Vegas is in Nevada.

Well, to be fair, NJ isn't ALL a dump, but AC and northern NJ are.

    Not in the least.

What is known as the Las Vegas Strip is actually in Paradise, NV and then there is Downtown Vegas which is the area around Fremont Street.  Las Vegas is full of casinos, lights, upscale dining from celebrity chefs, shows and attractions.

Atlantic City is on the decline as far as casinos.  The main draw to AC is the Boardwalk and beach where there are touristy shops, saltwater taffy and fresh squeezed lemonade.  Once you leave the Boardwalk, AC is pretty much depressed

No. Atlantic City has a real beach, on the real ocean. Las Vegas is inland, and anything you see with water is probably manmade.

Not even close.  Atlantic City is more run down, the "casino section" is small.  The casinos aren't nearly as glamorous as LV.  However, Atlantic City does have the beach and Atlantic Ocean.
