Why are Americans so stupid that they're protesting measures to keep them safe from the coronavirus?

Protesters have continued to gather across the United States, ignoring social distancing rules, to demonstrate against lockdown orders they call 'tyrannical' and 'worse than the virus'.

If you have a healthy immune system there is nothing to worry about. COVID19 is just another seasonal flu but is been politically used to further enrich the DEEP, DEEP state elite.

Trump has now realized that he has been had by these people led by PHARMA Fauchi, the Gates Foundation, China and Big Pharma.

Arrest these fools under the Riot Act and confine them in prisons where they can learn how epidemics work.

A couple of evenings ago, Laura Ingraham discussed a study of ~7,000,000 COVID-19 infected people, out of which ~7,000 died. That is a death rate of 0.1%. (And half of those deaths were presumably nursing home residents.)

Let's see....collapse the world economy,....... or save 0.1% of our population....so hard to decide.

once again we see how lack of critical thinking skills so-often goes hand in hand with those who immediately toss out the "stupid" label...

the protests are based on the incongruity of the local and state government responses... their policies are akin to tearing down the entire house after dangerous mold was found under one bathroom sink...

during the obama-era race riots, for example, would you have supported nationwide curfews, no-assembly codes and riot police patrolling your nice, comfy neighborhood "for your safety?"

wouldn't sensible management aimed at keeping parts of socioeconomic life going better serve those areas in need?  are doctors "stupid" for administering local anesthesia instead of just knocking out all patients for all procedures?  are firemen "stupid" for setting up containment lines around a burning building instead of spreading out across the entire city "just in case?"

If the government told you that they had to lock you up indefinitely to keep you and others safe, would you go along peacefully?

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. -Benjamin Franklin

Well the answer to that is simple. Most Americans are selfish and think any personal hindrance must be a personal attack on them, and their freedom. They can't comprehend the idea that their freedom complicates or hinders somebody else's. It's just not a brainwave they have... It's the same all over the world really..
