If you are trolling for a rant, here it comes. Someone in the Administration declined the offer of WHO tests in order for the US to develop our own. As a result, we were four weeks behind the curve in testing for exposure.

The way epidemic control works is simple: Identify the infected, quarantine them, trace their prior contacts, test them and quarantine the infected, rinse and repeat. Because the US was not able or equipped to test, we had to ask ALL citizens to sequester themselves and practice social distancing. The first method is a scalpel and limited exposure and deaths in Singapore and South Korea. The second is a hammer, and bludgeons everyone and wrecks the economy. So no, the administration was not prepared, and their neglegence killed people and caused a recession or a depression.
