If this plan for Israeli-Palestinian peace were put forward, would both sides agree to it?

Over the years, virtually every Israeli-Palestinian blueprint for peace that has been drafted, although denied, has more or less included the following terms:

* Demilitarizing Hamas (i.e. requiring them to relinquish their weapons).

*Encouraging both sides to mutually cooperate in counterterrorism efforts.

* Allow Israel not to release prisoners convicted under its laws of either of terrorism or conspiracy to commit terrorism.

* Officially dividing Jerusalem into its locally recognized Eastern and Western regions.

* Suspending settlement expansion in the West Bank (the areas of Judea & Samaria, Karnei Shomron, etc.).

If this plan were unveiled in its entirety, would both sides agree to it. Or, would certain aspects have to give weigh?

    You've answered your own question.

As those are pretty much always the terms of any attempted agreement, and they've never been bilaterally accepted, it's unlikely they will be soon.

There are many flaws with what you have written but this one takes the cake:

"Allow Israel not to release prisoners convicted under its laws of either of terrorism or conspiracy to commit terrorism."

My problem is with a single word here that makes it absurd.

    ALLOW

    Seriously, allow??

When the police in your area arrest criminals, put them on trial, and throw them in jail do we say then: Well, the justice system is allowed (my your discretion) to keep convicted criminals in jail to serve out their sentence?

Keeping terrorists in jail has NOTHING to do with the peace process!

Its a basic right on any functioning sovereign state.

    Hello,

Pro-Palestinians often suggest Israel should: “share” / "compromise" / "make concessions", even though Israel has already made all the concessions that can be reasonably expected of any nation seeking peace - under the Oslo Accords. How else did the "Palestinian" Arabs lay their hands on 40% of the West Bank and the whole of Gaza?

How did the "Palestinian" Arabs breach the terms of the Accords?

    By failing to:

    - - - - Start of extract: - - - -

“[...] prevent acts of terrorism crime and hostilities [...]” (Article XV).

Choose the “Oslo II Agreement” link on the following webpage:

    http://www.acpr.org.il/English/documents-e.htm

    - - - - End of extract - - - -

"Palestinian" Arab breach of the Oslo Accords is clear, because:

    1) The Palestinian Authority aka Fatah lost control of Gaza to Hamas, which does not recognize the Oslo Accords, is dedicated to Israel’s destruction, and fires numerous barrages of rockets at Israeli cities:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_rocket_a...

    The Asker wrote:

"* Demilitarizing Hamas (i.e. requiring them to relinquish their weapons)."

Hamas has never agreed to demilitarize, and is dedicated to Israel's destruction.

    The Asker wrote:

"*Encouraging both sides to mutually cooperate in counterterrorism efforts.":

    2) The “Palestinian Authority” aka Fatah never gave up terrorism following the Oslo Accords. The “Palestinian Authority” / Fatah (funded by the “European Union”) and the “Palestinian Liberation Organization", pay a reward-“pension” for the murder of Israeli Jewish civilians including children, by their "Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund":

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_Authorit...

    Example:

    - - - - Start of extract: - - - -

"23 August 2019 ... Israeli girl ... Rina Shnerb [age 17] had been hiking with her brother Dvir and her father Eitan near a natural spring outside Dolev when an improvised explosive device blew up."

    - - - - End of extract - - - -

Since the "Palestinian" Arabs breached the Oslo Accords, why do pro-Palestinian Arab contributors continue to suggest Israel make yet more concessions?

Israel is a small country the size of New Jersey state in the United States, and so by demanding yet more concessions from Israel in addition to those already made under the Oslo Accords, this is a strategy intended to weaken Israel's territorial integrity / security.

Observe that concessions are never demanded of the "Palestinian" Arabs.

    The Asker wrote:

" Officially dividing Jerusalem into its locally recognized Eastern and Western regions.":

Consider if the Palestinians have any evidence for their false-claim on Jerusalem?:

They do not. The Palestinians simply don’t “do” objective-evidence.

Jerusalem was the capital of the former Jewish Hasmonean Kingdom of Judea, and indeed also of all previous Jewish Judean / (united) Israelite Kingdoms, going back to Biblical times. Example: Map of post-Biblical Jewish Hasmonean Kingdom of Judah including the West Bank, Gaza, and Golan Heights, with its capital of (what is now EAST) JERUSALEM / “Old City”; between 110 BCE / 754 BH and 63 BCE / 706 BH:

    https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4...

There has never been a sovereign state of “Palestine” upon which the “Palestinian” Arabs could base any claim to any part of the land of Israel (Roman-imposed name "Palestine").

Palestinian claims to Jerusalem as a “holy site” on their own are insufficient, otherwise the "Palestinian" Arabs could just as well falsely-claim Mecca as their capital and see how the Saudis take that !

East Jerusalem (capital of previous Jewish sovereign states - see above) is often described by the News Media as “Arab East Jerusalem”, while failing to mention that the Jordanians expelled the Jews from East Jerusalem in 1948:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamization_of_East...

    The Asker wrote:

"* Suspending settlement expansion in the West Bank (the areas of Judea & Samaria, Karnei Shomron, etc.)."

Only in regard to Israel, would people use the term illegal “settlements” to describe a sovereign nation building homes not only on its own land, but in Israel’s case, that land also being within Area C of the West Bank where Israeli home-building (aka “settlements”) is permitted under the Oslo Accords (above), to which the "Palestinian" Arabs agreed.

The matter becomes clear when accurate terms are applied:

     > “Israelis” (NOT Israeli “settlers”) (being either: Jews whose ancestors have unbroken-presence in their ancestral-homeland of Israel, or Jewish returnee-exiles).

     > “Israeli-homes” (NOT Israeli “settlements”).

    Israeli “settlers” are either:

     > Jews whose ancestors have unbroken-presence in their ancestral-homeland of Israel.

     > Jewish-exiles returned to their ancestral-homeland of Israel, who have Judean heritage.

(The clue is in the name: “Jew” refers to the citizens of “Judah” (aka “Judea”) / Israel.)

The West Bank is land of previous Jewish kingdoms (see above)!

Jews “Re-settling” their ancestral homeland are therefore “Returnees”.

Never been a sovereign state of “Palestine” upon which the “Palestinian” Arabs could base any claim to any part of the land of Israel (Roman-imposed name "Palestine"):

    - - - - Start of extract: - - - -

“... After Roman times the name [“Palestine”] had no official status until after ... the end of rule by the Ottoman Empire, when it was adopted for one of the regions mandated to Great Britain ...”.

    https://www.britannica.com/place/Palestine

    - - - - End of extract - - - -

“British Mandate Palestine” was an administrative region (not a sovereign state) with the name "Palestine" resurrected from that imposed under Roman occupation of Jewish Judea.

The Oslo II Accord covers both Gaza and the West Bank.

The Oslo Accords divided the West Bank into three administrative divisions:

    Areas A, B and C:

Area A is exclusively administered by the Palestinian Authority aka Fatah, and is approximately 18% of the West Bank.

Area B (Palestinian civil control and joint Israeli-Palestinian security control), is administered by both the Palestinian Authority and Israel, and is approximately 22% of the West Bank.

Area C (full Israeli civil and security control), which contains the Israeli settlements, is administered by Israel:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Bank_Areas_in_t...

The News Media often refer to the "Palestinian" Arab "wanting" areas of Israel for a state, yet while ignoring that the claims are entirely without foundation.

Why do the anti-Semitic supporters of the “Palestinian” Arabs assert falsehood-claims on the land of Israel devoid of any objective-verification? Because the "Palestinian" Arabs are used to easily-convincing those who are likely to be anti-Semitic and thus Willing to accept what they say while Unwilling to demand verification.

The "Palestinian" Arabs dropped the name "Arab" from their correct description because they do not want you to understand that they came to the land of Israel as Arab-Migrant-Workers just prior to, and during the British Mandate.

Since the “Palestinian” Arabs arrived in the land of Israel well after its indigenous Jews, this makes the Arabs the “settler-colonists”:

    - - - - Start of extract: - - - -

"... most Arabs in British Mandate Palestine were migrant workers and descendants of the 1832-1947 wave of Arab/Muslim immigration from Egypt, the Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, North Africa, Bosnia, India, Afghanistan, etc. While the British Mandate encouraged Arab immigration, it blocked Jewish immigration."

    http://theettingerreport.com/arab-migration-shaped...

    - - - - End of extract - - - -

The “Palestinian” Arabs considering themselves Arab were opposed to being called a “people” until the 1960’s, when they decided it fitted with their intention to steal the land of Israel from its indigenous Jews:

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11401/palestini...

Supporting the “Palestinian” Arabs is NO support for any two-state solution. Why? The “Palestinian” Arabs deceive the world into believing they seek a two-state solution, whereas in reality they falsely-claim ALL the land of Israel (to none of which do they have any verifiable-claim), and seek to expel or murder the Jews, from the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel. This is clearly shown by what is taught by the Palestinian education system and by the “Palestinian National Charter”

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Ano,

It's not because I am pessimistic, but because Palestinians tried few times to follow the  road plans and promises by the Zionist state, and never worked out.

Israelis has 1 idea in their narrow mind, Greater Israel from The Nile to the Euphrates.

    - Demilitarizing Hamas : Will not happen because the trust was broken completely  after condoleeza Rice road plan; The Palestinians elected democratically Hamas as their government at that time.

    - Encouraging both sides to mutually cooperate in counterterrorism efforts : Will not happen, because the terrorism is from the Israeli side and Palestinians are only retaliating.

    - Allow Israel not to release prisoners convicted under its laws of either of terrorism or conspiracy to commit terrorism : these are not prisoners but Kidnapped by the Apartheid state of Israel.

    - Officially dividing Jerusalem into its locally recognized Eastern and Western regions : Will not happen because Israelis wants it all, no division even if they promise, they lie.

    - Suspending settlement expansion in the West Bank (the areas of Judea & Samaria, Karnei Shomron, etc.). : HAHAHA Will not happen ever... United nations denied The Zionists few decades now to stop the settlements, Israelis does not respect the world or the UN regulations.

When the Zionist negotiate with good faith, things can change, don't blame it on the weak parties, blame it on the Apartheid state of Israel.

Palestine has already said it has heard enough of it to affirm that it will not agree to it, which is how Jared Kushner, who is notably Jewish and also the spearheader of the plan by way of President Trump giving him that role, came to make some extremely disparaging and prejudiced remarks about Palestinians in a live interview with CNN.

    https://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2020/01/28/amanpo...

Kushner comes to the table with clear bias and presents a highly unfavorable plan to the Palestinians under the auspices that it is anything but and then maligns them for rejecting it.  Is it any wonder that they would reject the plan of a man who holds them in such contempt, for how could his plan not also?

Basically, Kushner's peace plan is nothing short of serving Palestinians a slice of sh*t pie and then telling them to eat it and like it.
