my whirlpool keep making ice with the arm is up?

If it is like the icemaker subsystem inside a standard refrigerator like mine, the arm can be disconnected inadvertently occasionally.

I use a small mirror to look at the backside of the icemaker front where the arm connects.  It must go into the "slot" (rather like a screwdriver slot) but if it isn't into the slot, it happy rides on top of the pivot point and doesn't connect but—except for on/off function—everything seems okay.

To fix—using the mirror—gently wiggle the arm around (and pivot up/down if necessary) to get the arm end to slide back inside the slot.
