Akutagawa's Rashomon?

Please help me this literature question from the novel, Akutagawa's Rashomon.

please explain how 1) the religious relics mentioned in the first page, 2) the description of the Rashomon gate, and 3) the recurring motif of the pimple are symbolic representations of the protagonist's situation and/or conflict. Remember, that a symbol is something tangible, like a decaying gate, that represents something intangible, like an idea, attitude, concept, internal conflict, etc. This should be a short paragraph that should start by mentioning the protagonist's conflict or situation and then explaining how each of these three things above represents his internal conflict or situation. you might want to use the quote from the reading for the description of each item to make it clear how it corresponds to his conflict
