Native English speakers, could you please help me with these issues?
Does this sentence make sense:
"The Babylonians believed that the sky SENT homens."

'Sent' is certainly the right tense, and there's nothing wrong with the choice of word either.
But I think you mean 'omens'.Your sentence is clear enough, but it might be more natural to say, "The Babylonians believed that omens were sent from the sky".

“The Babylonians believed that humans came from the sky.”

It’s omens. The Babylonians believed that the sky sent omens.
I personally would use meteors or comets instead of the sky because meteors and comets are only seen occasionally so when it’s seen, it’s either good luck or bad luck.
