You can go out and walk your dog or for other necessities - just make sure you maintain social distance from anyone you see.

Of course you must walk your dog but stay two metres apart from others. This disease is serious.

You've missed an important point. You not only can go walking outside, in California at least you are encouraged to do that...as long as you stay a safe six. And take your dog, but keep it a safe six as well because pets can and do carry the virus as well. I'm 83 yo and take my dog Boots for a walk four times a day.

you can walk your dog but do not have contact with other people.

I have my doubts that you can go down the street for a walk, but you are free to go around your property.

Of course... It is perfectly fine to go outside, just not congegate in groups, and who does that, anyway?
