Is scented bedding safe for hamsters?

So I got 2 kilograms of scented wood shavings. It smells like lemon. I am not sure if it's bad for my hamster but he seems not to be bothered by it, although i hear him sneezes sometimes.

The only suitable wood bedding is aspen shaving. Scented means chemicals and very hard on rodents delicate respiratory system.

Aromatic woods like cedar are even toxic to rodents.

I wouldn't use it. Hamsters have a good sense of smell, better than ours, and they don't want their entire house to smell like lemons all the time. Best case scenario the hamster is bothered by the smell. Worst case scenario is it causes respiratory problems and since hes sneezing it sounds like it is.
