Ya, it is much better & safer to stand in the unemployment line with 1000 people than go to church.

Of course they are right. Why would Christians coming into close contact be any less dangerous that anyone else doing so?

Where I live it's illegal to have a gathering of more than 5 people. All places of worship are closed.

Those leaders who have cancelled all church services these past weeks, keeping doors locked over this season, advocate parishoners show love for neighbour by staying home. "Love your neighbour as yourself" Jesus commanded. They also know the difference between superstition and faith. Superstitious people don't. Those who depend on ritual and icons and statues of Mary being paraded publicly etc think they have special protection for keeping those rituals going. But Christians walk by faith, not by sight! Our faith is not in outward symbols of what's called 'Christianity'. Nothing separates us from the love of God in Christ and we keep worshiping at home, with our families or alone, getting spiritual guidance on-line from our Christian leaders, services conducted virtually. Those leaders are right, and time will tell the outcome for those who put superstitious rituals above government requirements to save our health services, and our neighbors.

You could’ve left the anti-Catholic rant out of your answer. Don’t you find it a bit hypocritical to say “Love your neighbor as yourself except for those filthy Catholics.”

No. Catholics should attend mass and Eucharistic adoration as well as group rosaries, the stations of the Cross, etc. Numerous Catholics need to go to confession as well.

No, it's not the Christian leaders who are right about that, it's the CDC and World Health Organization.

If Christian leaders suspend services, there will be no place to congregate.

Exactly!  No place to congregate and infect others with this potentially deadly disease.
