# How do I simplify the problem below? Please help!?

How would I simplify 7.5=0.65log(0.39E)+1.45 into the for, b=loga?

7.5=0.65log(0.39E)+1.45

subtract 1.45 from both sides:

6.05 = 0.65 log(0.39E)

divide both sides by 0.65:

9.31 = log(0.39E)

apply product rule of logs to the right side:

9.31 = log(0.39) + log E

calculate log(0.39) and subtract from both sides:

9.72 = log E

that looks like the form you are asking for, but if you want to solve for E, use the definition of logs:

E = 10^(9.72)
