Suppose you have a 22V battery that can move 279C of charge. How much energy can it deliver?

Assuming you mean 279 Coulombs, that's 279 ampere seconds, so the energy content is 279x22 watt seconds = 6138 watt sec.or about 1.7 watt hour.

About 22 Volts worth.

Power = V * I
I = charge / time. Remember: 1 coulomb/sec = 1 amp
Power = V * charge / time
Power * time = V * charge
Power = energy / time so we get
energy / time * time = V * charge
energy = V * charge = 6138 J
