Can someone explain why no one can sit in their car anymore without running their engine endlessly?
It never used to be this way. Now people will sit there staring at their phone with the engine running - sometimes for an hour or more (at lunch etc). It doesn't matter how nice it is outside. They don't even roll their windows down anymore.
I have asked people why in the past and they say that they don't want to run the battery down. But just charging the phone and using the stereo would take like 12 hours to make any difference.Does no one care about polluting, wasting gas, making noise, fumes, etc Anymore?

It's called "stupidity". There's a lot of it going around.

I personally don't do it..
It's a combination of cheap gas and ignorance over how long the battery could last. If it's really cold or hot outside that plays into it too.
