    By hf = ф + E(k)

    =>E(k) = hc/λ - ф

    =>E(k) = [6.63 x 10^-34 x 3 x 10^8]/[610 x 10^-9] - [1.61 x 1.6 x 10^-19]

    =>E(k) = 3.26 x 10^-19 - 2.58 x 10^-19

    =>E(k) = 0.68 x 10^-19 J OR 0.43 eV
