Why is there such a big push for manufacturing ventilators don't you all realize if you go on a ventilator you are most likely going to die?

No, the use of a ventilator does not cause you to die. It reduces the likelihood of death.

Maybe so, but if you need one and don't get one, you're definitely going to die.  Better some chance than no chance at all.

At least with one, you stand a better chance of survival, than without?????

Unless you are an expert on Covid-19, which I very much doubt, I suggest you STFU.

the likelihood of dieing depends on the illness.  But they're NOT a good sign.

Because ventilators help a person to breath who otherwise would drown in their own bodily fluids.

50:50 chance of surviving being admitted to ICU. 1 in 3 expected to survive and be able to come off ventilation. It's all about extending hope and saving those who can be saved.

You stand a better chance of survival if you don't go to hospital and ventilators only keep people alive for so long. Better to go quickly.

better to give someone a chance by ventilating them, rather than letting them die by drowning in their own mucus membranes

If there aren't enough ventilators to go round, then it's more likely that more people will die.  Covoid-19 affects people's lungs and gives them breathing difficulties, they need all the help they can get to survive.
