The President mentioned hydroxychloroquine a while back but few took it seriously. Now it's showing to be very effective?

according to scientific reports from Spain and France. It's a pity no one responded to what was clearly stated. Hydroxychloroquine, though an anti-malaria drug does have a positive effect on patients with Covid-19.

  • Trump also said this whole thing will be over by Easter and everyone will be back at their offices by then. How’s that one going for him.

Trump makes thousands of over the top dishonest statements (usually via Twitter), and occasionally one of them might have a tiny bit of of truth to them by sheer luck. You just happened to have stumbled upon one of those one in a thousand.

And your question is what exactly?

You have invalidated statements made by those who did not do an actual study.

  • There's an old saying, whose origins I don't remember. "A liar is not believed, even when he tells the truth." Donald Trump has been lying to the American people for so long that he could say the sky is blue, and liberals would call him a liar.

Yeah, no. Do not take medical advice from a traitorous grifter who's not, wait for it, a doctor.Β

Doctors say don't take this. Doctors with actual medical backgrounds.Β

"Anthony Fauci is not among the impressed. The day the study came out, Fauci, the leading infectious-disease expert advising the White House’s coronavirus task force, downplayed the findings as β€œanecdotal.” The report was not a randomized clinical trialβ€”one in which many people are followed to see how their health fares, not simply whether a virus is detectable. And Oz’s β€œ100 percent” interpretation involves conspicuous omissions. According to the study itself, three other patients who received hydroxychloroquine were too sick to be tested for the virus by day six (they were intubated in the ICU). Another had a bad reaction to the drug and stopped taking it. Another was not tested because, by day six, he had died."

Some studies have shown mild effectiveness, some have shown very little effectiveness. You can't just pick the ones with the results you like. The main problem is that the drug is quite dangerous and should be used only with medical supervision, and he seems to be encouraging people to get it under the table and take it, which is going to lead to plenty of deaths.

I see. And you're telling us this instead of asking a question and doing it anonymously...why again? I mean if you're serious and honestly believe what you're saying, why the anonymity?

Many probably don't take Trump serious and consider him to be a buffoon.

P.S. Did you actually have a question?

The drug also comes with its risks
