if you eat a ton of beans can you get fat from them?

Update:

I've been eating nothing but canned beans for the last week. It's why I asked. So far no noticable changes. in weight. literally no weight gain or loss.

    Yes they are high in carbs and sugar will make u fatter just eat the right amount and you’ll be fine

    If you eat too many calories no mater the food you will get fat.

    How much beans do you eat and what else do you eat in a day?  How much exercise do you do.  If its a literal ton yes you will get fat, if its a metaphorical ton it depends.

    doubt it, maybe lots of gas, from the beans

    You can gain weight by eating an excess of anything.

      Idk. I hear if you ate nothing but rabbit meat you could starve to death. I'd imagine eating nothing but lettuce might also starve you no matter how much you ate. I doubt you would get fat.

    Not the Beans. If you include lots of extra like fats, meats,  this is where calories come from! 

    The Bible has the Commandment for us not to eat fates or pork. At the end of the eatting  Commandments, the Bible states If one sticks to this diet they are Not likely to ever get sick!

    Beans are generally healthy, but too much of anything is unhealthy. If you ate a literal ton of beans, you'd get fat for sure.

      Surely that would depend on how long you spread that ton out over.


      One 420g tin per day for 6 years 6 months would be a literal ton of beans, but quite within a reasonable proportion of other staples eaten as part of a (boring) but balanced diet.
