Depends what you can make of such.

Noble jobs like a doctor, a teacher, a nurse, a policeman and an engineer is an honor.
I don’t consider military job to be an honor, unless you are fighting for justice and self defense

in the USA it is an Honour as only 18% are eligible to apply but less than 10% qualify
so serving in the USA military is always an Honour

It can be honourable or shameful. It's all up to you, and how you serve.

Leavenworth is filled with idiots who SHAMED the uniform.
Whether it's a shame or HONOR, is up to you. I was HONORED and Privileged to serve.

God and the solder
In times of danger,
When danger's gone and wrong is righted
God is forgotten
and the soldier slighted
